About Me

I was a research biologist for 18 years. I was able to do research because I received a degree in Microbiology and Chemistry. My mathematical skills were sharpened during my career. During this period I was responsible for calculating molar concentrations for solution, medical dosing, determine number of cells in a microbe plate and complicated scientific formulas. I started tutoring math and science for a tutorial company and found that I loved it. I love seeing students make progress in our tutorial sessions. I was happy to know that I can help students to be more confident in themselves and their abilities.

My philosophy of tutoring evolved from many years of tutoring experience. As I reflect on my beliefs regarding tutoring and learning, my mission as a tutor is threefold: To promote positive learning. To spark students enthusiasm for learning. To provide a strong foundation for lifelong learning. To accomplish this, I enjoy a wide variety of strategies based on essential mathematical and science principles, learning theory, diversity issues and instructional planning and assessment.
