Helping students has always felt deeply personal to me. I know what it's like to struggle with a subject and how much of a difference the right guidance can make. That's what drives me, not just to explain the material, but to meet students where they are, and help them build confidence along the way. My teaching philosophy is centered around a low-pressure, high-engagement environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. I use real-world examples, visual breakdowns, and active recall to reinforce understanding and make learning stick. I'm currently in my 4th year of medical school, so I have a certain love for Biology and other life sciences. It can be complex, but when taught the right way, it becomes incredibly intuitive and logical. I also thoroughly enjoy teaching SAT/ACT prep, as it also can be tricky for students to see through its complexity, but becomes much easier to find the objective when taught the right way, with the right tools.

Upon graduation from New York University (Philosophy), I taught the verbal section of the MCAT to prospective medical students in my home state of Virginia, after which I moved to New Orleans to teach Middle School Math and Science in low-income communities as an AmeriCorps member. I now tutor a broad range of subjects, specializing in standardized admissions tests through graduate levels. I am a firm proponent of education and its role in a fulfilling life. I am a junior studying Writing for Screen and Television at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. For the past two spring semesters I worked as a CollegeSpring Mentor, tutoring Green Dot Charter high school juniors for the SAT and teaching them predatory skills for college. Logical Reasoning is half the LSAT, and every question hinges on spotting the gap between an argument's evidence and its conclusion. Keith's legal training at Cornell sharpened exactly this skill, and he walks students through each question type — sufficient assumption, flaw, strengthen, weaken — until the underlying logic becomes second nature.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I am also a graduate of the high school International Baccalaureate Program. I have informal experience tutoring high school physics, but am most passionate about tutoring students for the ACT standardized test, having had extensive experience preparing for standardized tests throughout high school. I feel the most confident tutoring ACT preparation. During my time as a high school student, I worked from an ACT score of 25 to a 36 and developed many effective strategies that I will tailor to the students I tutor and understand the ins and outs of the test. I am a junior at Purdue University studying Aerospace Engineering and am part of the Air Force ROTC program. I have 6 years of tutoring experience at places including Kumon, Mathnasium, and Purdue University. I have worked with kids of all ages from kindergarten to sophomores in college, each with their own set of unique strengths, and tutored a variety of subjects, including calculus, trigonometry, geometry, thermodynamics, chemistry, and physics. Like many of my previous students, I struggled to understand concepts that I was being taught and was a terrible test taker. However, I found ways to overcome my obstacles and develop an better intuition for what I was learning. I believe that it is only this intuition and understanding that helps overcome these obstacles.
