I am currently a student at Brown University seeking a degree in molecular biophysics. I love studying physics and its many applications in the realms of the life sciences. I have a strange penchant for ultimate frisbee and anything that involves golf (mini golf, frisbee golf, actual golf, etc.). One can often find me at Clark Park or Walnut Greens trying to shoot for par or die trying.

I'm an electrical engineering major at Brown University with interests in neuroscience, linguistics, and robotics, among other things. I've always loved learning, and my curiosity has led me through numerous subject areas. I constantly seek to apply my classroom learning in practical situations. For example, I have conducted research on dementia using electrophysiology in a mollusk model. I participate in hackathons and robotics challenges that test not only my programming ability but also my hardware skills as a tinkerer. My engineering pursuits require a strong foundation in mathematics, my interest in the life sciences calls for a myriad of memorization techniques, and my participation in the academic world at large reminds me daily of the importance of sharp writing skills. I hope to share some of these things, both content and technique, with my students. Though I will make sure that they can come away from each session armed with the skills needed to take on the modern education system, I also hope that they will take with them some appreciation for learning itself.

I am starting graduate school this fall. My experiences as a student and scientist help me explain concepts and work through problems in a clear and engaging manner. I love teaching, and strive to make each personalized lesson enjoyable and productive. In addition to math and science, I can teach the skills and strategies students need to reach their goals on the ACT, GRE, or AP tests. I also enjoy working with elementary age students to increase reading and math proficiencies.

I am an undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and I have tutored students since my early high school years. I've had experience instructing and guiding a variety of students, from young middle schoolers taking their first steps into the world of computer programming to my own peers struggling with their calculus exams. Over the past year alone, I've worked with over 30 students, spending several hours each day to help them stay up to speed on their schoolwork. When tutoring students, I draw on my own experience with learning the material to identify and address the obstacles they face. I am passionate about. As a chemical engineering student at Vanderbilt University, I have always been passionate about learning math and science. I have also particularly excelled in these fields, perhaps due to my passion, and I managed to score a 790 on the math SAT and SAT II. I also took 5 AP Exams as a high school student, receiving 5s in Calculus BS, statistics, computer science, biology, and chemistry. At my university, I received an honors scholarship for my academic performance in engineering, and I currently aspire to continue my education at a higher level. I am currently a prospective Computer Science Major at New York University. I am aiming for a 5 year bachelor's/master's degree in the College of Arts and Sciences. With tutoring, I am very patient, and it is my goal to make sure my tutees absolutely understand the material they need help with. In general, I explain things in a lot of detail, which could be unnecessary at times, but I think that is better than not explaining enough. I recently graduated in June 2017 from the University of California - Irvine with two Bachelor degrees. One was in Biomedical Engineering and the other was in Materials Science and Engineering. I am currently a student at Case Western Reserve University for computer science. In high school, I was a member of the Peer Tutoring and Mentoring Club and enjoy working with students, primarily in math and science. My favorite subject is physics because it combines science with math and is actually applicable to real life. My learning philosophy is to just do practice problems. The more practice, the easier each problem will be. Somebody can spend all day just studying notes, but he or she will learn best by just doing practice problems. Outside of school, I own a website design business and I enjoy to do anything outdoors. I love snow skiing, water skiing, boating, hiking, and fishing.

I am a junior at Rice University working towards a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. Since I moved to Houston, I have been tutoring family members to help them develop their math skills, and make sure they gain a better understanding of the subject. My experience with them made me realize that I greatly enjoy tutoring as it allows me to help others succeed in their studies. I have also worked as a lab assistant and a grader for the Fundamentals of Computer Engineering course at Rice University, and will be doing it again in the upcoming semester. I am a professional dancer here in New York City, working with various project-based companies, generally in contemporary or contemporary ballet work. I have been tutoring, in various forms and fashions, since 2008 with organizations like National Honor Society and Tau Beta Pi (the original Engineering Honor Society), as well as freelance personal tutoring. I'm a Kellenberg graduate and currently attend University of Virginia studying Computer Science. My previous experience teaching is from within my local parish as a religious education teacher, but my current fortes in tutoring are high school math, computer science, essay writing and economics. I am currently a sophomore electrical and computer engineering student at the University of Texas at Austin. I helped out as a general subject (math, science, history, etc.) tutor at Health Careers High School in San Antonio while I was a junior and senior as part of National Honor Society. My strong academic subject areas are math, particularly calculus, trigonometry, and algebra; although I do tutor up to all high school levels of math, computer science programming in Java, Python, or C, electrical engineering topics like circuitry or programming, and mechanical physics. I really enjoy helping other people out because my motto is "ancora imparo," or "I am always learning." So if I can always learn something, I wish to help others learn and do better as well. My hobbies include exercise, sports, and playing video games, basically anything that engages the body or mind!

I'm a data science major with a focus on economics at the University of Rochester. I'm interested in tutoring students in mathematics and/or computer science, as I enjoy both subjects thoroughly, and think that a good understanding of those subjects is useful to anyone, no matter their interests. I also do tutoring for AP/IB exams, SAT, and ACT because I think it's critically important for people to get into the best college they can for as cheap as possible, and those exams are the basis of that.
