I am a graduate of the University of Chicago, with a bachelor's degree in psychology and linguistics. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in speech-language pathology at Teachers College, Columbia University. In the past, I have worked as a teacher's aide in a public school classroom, a mentor to middle school girls, an instructor and tutor at the literacy education organization 826, and a summer camp counselor. I tutor a diverse range of subjects, and I find that I especially enjoy tutoring language arts, reading, and writing at all levels, from elementary school all the way up to college/grad school test prep. As a tutor, I am committed to helping students reach their full potential as learners. Throughout my years as an educator, I have seen firsthand the remarkable academic growth that can occur when tutors provide students with the individualized support that they need. I am a rising sophomore at Yale University working towards a B.S. in Molecular Biochemistry & Biophysics and a B.A. in Philosophy on a pre-medical track. Since my high school graduation, I have spent a considerable amount of time working as an EMT as well as volunteering at Hospice. I am currently working in a research laboratory where cutting-edge biochemical technology (such as CRISPR-Cas9) is regularly used; a real-world experience which has enhanced my ability to describe advanced biology and chemistry concepts. I'm in a good position to talk about how certain concepts are used in the real world. I'm also a huge bookworm and offer SAT Critical Reading prep as well as general tutoring for writing. My hobby is creative writing and I'm currently writing up parts of my dissertation for publication, so I can help with writing from literary analysis to history research papers to the writing aspect of lab reports. When I'm not reading or writing, I'm playing the hammered dulcimer and teaching myself to code in new languages.

I'm passionate about learning. I was fortunate to have great teachers at the University of Chicago in my graduate education, and at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in my undergraduate education.

I am a PhD student at the University of Michigan, studying social psychology. Before this, I was at Duke University completing a BS in psychology as well as a MS in global health. My research combines the fields of global health and psychology by examining the effects of culture on self-related psychological processes. I hope to continue in academia to become a professor of psychology, as teaching is among my greatest passions.

I am a senior at the University of Pennsylvania, studying the Biological Basis of Behavior with minors in Spanish and Health Care Management. I have had extensive experience tutoring students one-on-one in West Philadelphia from elementary grammar to high school neuroscience, as well as ACT prep. I am extremely patient and encouraging. Outside of school, I am president of a dance company and part of the Dean's Advisory Board. I hope to serve as a positive role model as well as a motivational instructor.

I am a dental student at University of Missouri-Kansas City and I will graduate with a DDS in 2025. I have benefitted immensely from study groups, peer workshops, and online resources during my time in undergrad, so I know how much a little extra work can help in the long run. I am a sophomore at Vanderbilt University working toward a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and Mathematics. I have been tutoring for three years, and I love working with kids and helping them find their confidence in school work. I tutor Calculus, Algebra, Math, and Middle School Math, and I can also help with ACT prep (I have a lot of tips and tricks that helped me!) My favorite subject to tutor is math! I love working through different problems and the feeling of satisfaction when figuring out a tricky problem! I love teaching others tricks to complete math problems. I am passionate about teaching because I want to help others find an appreciation for learning, and I feel this comes when students feel confident in their abilities to complete schoolwork. When I begin teaching upon graduation, I want to work to end the mental health stigma and make sure that all of my students feel comfortable in my classroom. I believe that school should emphasize learning over memorization, and I do not want my class to add a significant amount of stress to students' lives. As a tutor, I hope to help kids decrease their stress levels by being able to complete work in an efficient way with me. Outside of academia, I love dancing, lifting, reading, watching Netflix, and spending time with friends.

I am a pre-Occupational Therapy student majoring in psychology with minors in neuroscience and art. I will be graduating with honors from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in May, and I will begin Washington University School of Medicine's Doctorate of Occupational Therapy Program this Fall. My academic pursuits have made me confident in my abilities to tutor those pursing degrees in social sciences along with those pursuing careers in health care. Currently my favorite subject is neuroscience. I fell in love with it after I started college and I plan on specializing in neurorehabilitionation as an occupational therapist.

I am originally from Lawrenceville, Georgia and graduated from Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology in 2016. With a full ride scholarship, I am currently a sophomore at Rice University in Houston, Texas. I am studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science while also pursuing the pre-medical track. Since beginning college, I have been given the opportunity to tutor a variety of students. I began volunteering in my freshman year with the Partnership for the Advancement and Immersion of Refugees in which I tutor refugee high school students with their coursework assessments, and English skills. I have also volunteered with the International Rescue Committee to tutor refugee adults in improving their English. In addition, I have worked with the Rice University Athletic Department to tutor athletic students in areas such as chemistry and mathematics. While I can tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, and Psychology. Because I believe the education is an important tool to empower students to reach their future goals, I hope to help students reach their academic potential by tailoring my tutoring sessions to them. I returned to higher education, moving to Boston where I conducted research, taught, and studied Clinical Psychology. After completing a Master of Liberal Arts in Clinical Psychology at Harvard University, I moved to Salt Lake City, UT to pursue a PhD in Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology). I am proficient in SPSS, Stata, APA formatting, and research methods for the behavioral sciences. I have limited exposure and experience with R and MATLAB.
