I am enthusiastic about helping others reach their educational goals. Whatever the task, no matter how long it takes, I will make sure you get the most out of your sessions and will tailor my personal approach to whatever you need.

I'm Caroline, a senior at Fordham University. I love interacting with students and explaining new concepts to them! My special interest lies in the liberal arts, but I can also offer test prep and grade-level tutoring in various subjects!

I am a former middle-school English teacher (and former high-school French teacher). I am certified to teach English (grades 6-12), History/Government/Social Studies (grades 6-12), Psychology (grades 6-12), Health (grades PreK-12), General Music (grades PreK-12), and French (grades PreK-12). I have also taught AP French and college-level French.

I am fortunate to have taught and mentored students in an environment that allowed me to experience firsthand all the challenges posed by our globalized world, as well as seize the new opportunities that come with it. I am completing my Ph.D. in Biblical Exegesis in the Department of History at York University (Toronto, Canada). My academic credentials include a MA in History from York University. I have a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Hebrew and Jewish Studies and a BA in Classics from Tor Vergata University in Rome. In 2009-10, I worked on an MA in Philosophy at the Pontifical Urban University and completed about half of that program when I decided that I wanted to pursue a degree in Biblical Studies and, to that end, enter into a Ph.D. program. I have extensive linguistic and theoretical expertise in the exegesis of biblical texts, in particular prophetic texts. I studied Biblical Hebrew for many years, Akkadian for two years, at the University of Toronto (Canada), and Aramaic. I also have a solid academic background in the history of ancient Israel and the Ancient Near East, combined with an extensive teaching record on the history of the world's religions and Greek and Jewish Literature. Among the learning objectives of my classes are the following: Providing students with an understanding of the key subjects and issues in history or religion. Analyze and discuss significant historical and religious subjects and issues as they relate to the modern world. Students usually come from a wide variety of social backgrounds and have a range of knowledge and skillsets, depending on their prior academic experience. To provide context and discussing particular subjects, I structure tasks in my course to meet students' different growth areas without assuming too much about their knowledge level. To scaffold assignments is an effective way to bring students up to speed who may need assistance acquiring background information and familiarize themselves with methods. I look forward to meeting you and working with you.

I am an experienced multi-subject teacher, who has had the great fortune to have been educated in several countries, and to teach in several countries. I received my education at Manhattan School of Music, Columbia University, the Universitaet Mozarteum, in Salzburg, Austria, University of Virginia, and Oxford. I have taught in the US, UK, Austria and Japan, and lived in all of those countries, plus Iceland, and for a shorter period in both France, and Turkey. My students have ranged in age from kindergarten, to adults, and have spoken many languages. I grew up trilingual, and added quite a few more languages along the way. I have the distinction of being one of the few non-native speakers of fluent Icelandic.

I'm looking to tutor middle and high school students across the humanities: literature, history, philosophy, theology, social studies, and religious studies. I also look forward to coaching students through their writing efforts, having the tools to help them improve both substance and style. Having been inspired by a host of excellent teachers throughout my intellectual career, I'm anxious to transfer my passion for humanities to any and all students. I also love reading students' writing, as it can clue me in to their passions and make it easier for me to instill a love of learning.

I am a sophomore college student at Texas A&M! I have always had a passion for knowledge, and I'm super excited to ignite that passion in my students! Learning study skills and habits that will set students up for success is my main goal.

I am a rising senior at The University of North Texas in Denton. I am working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish as well as English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I was raised in an academically competitive environment in Fort Bend County and my rigorous secondary education prepared me for success in college. I am a fortunate member of the Terry Scholarship Foundation, which has provided me and hundreds of other Texans with a private, four-year, full-ride scholarship. As a Terry Scholar, I am well-versed in all subjects and have taken on the role of mentor to many of the incoming freshmen. I have spent most of my free time in college as a nanny and tutor to families around the DFW area. I have experience with all age groups and there is nothing that intimidates me! While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, History, Spanish, and Government/Social Studies. Through my experiences helping struggling students and peers, I have realized the value of adaptability. Most people reach out to a tutor because the traditional classroom method is not best suited for their learning needs. There is nothing more joyful than when a student finally understands the material in a way that makes sense to them. Many times, students need flexibility and patience in order to grasp a foreign concept. I am a firm believer in the power of education and I hope to share my love of learning with all of my students. After graduation I plan on returning to Houston to obtain my Master of Arts in Teaching from Rice University. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and writing anything from poetry to screenplays. I have also been involved in competitive dance for most of my adolescence, so I understand the balance of academics and extracurriculars.

I am a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures with a focus on Russian, Russian Literature, and International Relations. Since graduating, I have worked at a YMCA Learning Center as a Preschool Teacher Assistant, camp counselor, after-school counselor, art program leader and childcare provider for all ages. I tutored children (K-8) in the after-school program in all subjects, overseeing study time and assisting students with homework. I also worked as a data analyst for the Data Recognition Corporation: reading, assessing and scoring standardized tests in a variety of subjects for grades K-12. I worked on WIDA projects where I evaluated and scored English proficiency tests (verbal and written) for multilingual learners. As a WIDA analyst, I gained insight into the national system of standardized testing. While I tutor in a broad range of subjects, I am especially interested in Literature, Language, History and Philosophy. I am passionate about teaching and about learning, and I firmly believe that the pursuit of knowledge is lifelong.

I am a recent graduate of Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and theology, as well as two minors in Medieval Studies and Classics. I have nearly life-long experience as an educator, particularly though to my current position as an museum educator at the Hudson River Museum. Additionally, I have a rigorous background in English language and composition, in addition to research and academic writing.

I am a licensed and practicing attorney in the state of Georgia. I tutor History, English, and writing. I can aid students in preparing for SAT and ACT verbal sections as well as any topical AP exams, having taken many of them myself. I can help students of any level of proficiency take their writing to the next level, from those who struggle with basic skills to experienced writers who need their work checked down to the minutiae of correct punctuation placement in textual citations. Improvement can happen at any level! In the past I have tutored high school students, middle school students, and undergraduates.

I am student at Mississippi State University. I see my youth as an advantage as it allows me to connect more easily to students. My strongest subjects are history, Latin, and English, but I am proficient in many others.

I am a writer who works extensively with historical documents and researcher who embraces learning for life. I love making a subject engaging, interesting and ultimately seeing others succeed in their endeavors.

I'm also a recent graduate of The New School, with a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Studies.
