I am currently a student at Stanford University studying math and political science. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with younger students. I have helped students of different ages and from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, and so I am very conscious of the needs and prior knowledge my students and tailor my tutoring method and style individually.

I am a Yale grad, Johns Hopkins master's candidate, and certified early childhood educator. At Yale, I studied History and Child Development. I went on to teach with Teach For America, and I am currently in my 3rd year of teaching. Tutoring has been an interest of mine for many years. I started tutoring when I was in middle school, and I haven't stopped. I thoroughly enjoy working with students of all ages to help supplement their learning. I am currently a neuroscience PhD student at Columbia University. I majored in English and Psychology from Brown University, with a 4.0 and honours in Psychology. Following this, I worked at a lab at UPenn for three years, slowly transitioning to software engineering and computational neuroscience.

I am a high school history teacher who has also worked as a teaching assistant at one of the country's top 10 colleges. I've taught ACT/SAT prep for about 4 years to students at all ends of the academic spectrum: from those working with learning disabilities/accommodations & struggling with timing to those trying to achieve perfect scores. Although I always create individualized plans, I focus on teaching every student the most effective, step-by-step way to approach each question on each section of the test. Beyond test prep, I've taught/tutored just about every academic subject through the undergraduate level. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading about history, going to church, coaching sports (track & tennis), and spending time with my family. I really enjoy getting to know each student I teach as we work toward our goals.

I am a rising Junior at Princeton University who is passionate about the ways in which people learn, which has led me to pursue a degree in Neuropsychology. Through great experiences teaching English in Chiangmai, Thailand for two months and tutoring Calculus I and II through Princeton University's McGraw Tutoring program for two years, I have come across many learning styles and have developed a love for teaching. I am a Master of Architecture candidate at Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Colgate University. While I tutor several subjects, I am very passionate about mathematics and physics because of the tangible progress which I am able to help students achieve, and I enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities. I am currently a rising junior at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia although I am originally from Chicago, IL. I am double majoring in Psychology and English. My current GPA is a 3.9 and I have taken a wide range of courses. I was editor in chief of my school's newspaper, competed internationally for our Model UN team, and I currently college counsel low-income high-achieving students at high schools in downtown Atlanta, in addition to tutoring multiple students in ACT/SAT prep, English, Biology, and History. This includes helping them prepare for standardized tests, editing essays and applications, and generating lists of potential institutions to apply to. I received a 35 on my ACT. In the past, I was a teacher's assistant at a home and school for severely autistic children ages 9-14, and worked on overcoming communicative barriers to foster interpersonal connections. I have also tutored multiple children with learning disabilities. In my experience, getting students engaged is just about finding the strategy that works best for them. That may mean we have to try multiple approaches, or approaches that I don't prefer, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that incredible feeling with a student when they finally grasp a concept.
