I am also interested in helping students with their writing, both for science and non-science classes. Writing is a delicate process, but one that can be learned with the right help. It is my hope that I can encourage students to write creatively but with a strong grammatical and structural base. I tutor in English and college essay writing and will help with essay editing. My overall tutoring style is one that is fun but serious. While students learn in many different ways, I think being comfortable with their tutor or teacher is the most important aspect of learning. I want the student to feel free to ask as many questions as they need or want without feeling they are failing. Some topics take longer to master, and that is okay! Outside of tutoring, I enjoy hiking, playing disc golf, crafting, and playing some N64.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Denver is home to 9 school districts serving over 116,000 students across 307 schools, and Varsity Tutors connects students from all of them with personalized tutoring. Whether your student attends Denver Public Schools, Cherry Creek, Littleton, or any other district in the area, tutors can support their specific curriculum and academic goals.
Colorado has specific academic standards for each grade level and subject, and tutors work with students to master these benchmarks through personalized 1-on-1 instruction. Tutors are familiar with Colorado's standards in math, reading, science, and social studies, and can target the exact skills your student needs to succeed in their Denver school.
Denver students frequently seek support in math (especially algebra and geometry), English/language arts, standardized test prep (SAT and ACT), and science. Tutors also help with AP and honors coursework, Spanish and other languages, and subject-specific challenges that students face across Denver's diverse school districts.
During the first session, a tutor will assess your student's current skills, understand their specific challenges, and learn about their learning style. They'll also discuss your student's academic goals and create a personalized plan aligned with their Denver school's curriculum and pacing, so tutoring is targeted from day one.
Denver's average student-teacher ratio is 14.4:1, which means classroom teachers are managing many students with different needs. Personalized 1-on-1 tutoring allows a tutor to focus entirely on your student's learning gaps, adapt the pace and teaching style to what works best for them, and provide immediate feedback—something that's difficult in a traditional classroom setting.
Pricing varies based on the subject, tutor expertise, and frequency of sessions. Varsity Tutors offers flexible options so you can choose a schedule and investment that works for your family. Contact us to discuss your student's needs and get a personalized quote for Denver-area tutoring.
Yes. Tutors connect with Denver students to prepare for both the SAT (scored 400-1600) and ACT (scored 1-36). They focus on the specific sections where your student needs the most help, teach test-taking strategies, and use practice materials to build confidence before test day.
Contact Varsity Tutors to tell us about your student's academic needs and goals. We'll match them with a tutor who has expertise in their subject and understands Denver's schools, then schedule your first session at a time that works for your family.
