I have a Bachelors in Psychology, and am working on a Masters. Additionally, I have years of experience in instructional settings, both in grade school presentations and in extracurricular activities.

I am currently a student at the University of Central Florida, majoring in Biotechnology and in the Burnett Medical Scholars Program.In high school, I was in the IB Diploma Programme and took all three science classes plus four HL (Math, Biology, English, History) subjects. Furthermore, I took part in multiple honor societies and science organizations such as Science Olympiad and Science Fair, Mu Alpha Theta, and Science National Honor Society.Academic Achievements:- 99th Percentile SAT and ACT Score (800 SAT Math)- Perfect Score SAT Math 2 and Chemistry- National AP Scholar Award- 3rd Place FL State Science Fair (Plant Biology)I believe in understanding the student's goals and using visuals as well as examples to help the student learn the concepts.

I'm a sophomore at Yale University working towards a major in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. I have experience tutoring both in person and online, with agencies and independently. I tutor standardized tests, English reading and writing, Spanish, and Latin, as well as my favorite subject to teach: math. I love teaching math because seemingly complicated problems can always be broken down into simpler steps, and it is rewarding to help students understand concepts that seem daunting to them at first. While tutoring math, it is very clear that each and every student has potential, and some use need guidance to discover what they are capable of. The best way to help someone learn is to show them how to take and active role in the learning process. Apart from tutoring, I also love painting in both oil and watercolor, playing rugby, and skiing.

I have been teaching 7th and 8th-grade math for 15 years. I have also been tutoring math students from 6th grade to 10th grade in math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry. I like to let the student drive the tutoring session. If you just want someone to validate your answers, teach you a different way, or just sit and work the problems together, I'm your person! I like to talk about sports and rollercoasters. I don't want to be just your tutor--I want to be your math advocate as you progress through your math classes.

I am very grateful for this opportunity to be a private tutor with Varsity Tutors because given my background and expertise, I am sure that I can help the clients that I meet overcome any difficulties or challenges that I may have. I had a lot of difficulties with math but I had wonderful teachers in high school and undergrad that helped me overcome them. English is my strongest area and my writing skills can help students who are struggling in English.

Growing, I was lucky enough to learn to take immense pride in my academics. My grandma is a retired math professor and my mom double majored in English and math and went onto law school where she met my dad. When it came to the classroom (and on the athletic field), my dad only asked for my best effort while my mom always wanted me to bring home the A and the win (thankfully no matter what I brought home she still loved me because I was not the most gifted athlete). My experiences with my parents' academic philosophies led me to develop one of my own: commit to the process, do your best, and earn the grade.During my undergrad years at the University of Florida, I earned my degree in Business Administration with an outside concentration in Sports Management and minored in Entrepreneurship. Outside of the classroom, I was a student manager for the Florida Gator baseball team that won two SEC titles and made two trips to the College World Series in my 4 years with the team.When not helping others excel in the classroom, I can be found enjoying football, baseball, and basketball, working on my terrible golf game, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and enjoying beautiful South Florida with friends and family.

My passion is sharing knowledge with others. I'm a Multi-Subject Tutor who enjoys seeing D's become A's and School frustration become satisfaction. My only goal is to deliver students the results they deserve so they can reach higher levels in education and in life

As a junior at Fairfield University studying mathematics, my passion for math runs very deep. I spend my free time as a Fairfield University Cheerleader and enjoy hot summer days. My goal as a tutor is to enable my clients to feel that there is nothing they can not do.
