Geometry Tutoring review by Christopher in Marion County, IN
Today we reviewed a little on word problems and talked about her quiz. We also did a large review session on material from a test she did poorly on. She received a 67 from a test earlier in the month, involving material she seemed to have done well on. Also, we did some chemistry practice with unit conversion involving the bridge method.

Geometry Tutoring review by Jimmy in Marion County, IN
Today we reviewed angle bisector, median, midpoint, and perpendicular bisectors. We talked a bit about proofs too. For biology, we went over prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. The student was struggling the most with remembering the definition of geometry terms. He was positive towards the material that was reviewed. I did not leave him with extra practice. There were no scores to note progress. He is doing well. He needs to study the geometry terms a little more. He has a decent understanding of biology. I expect him to make at least a B at the moment, but I believe he can score A's with a little bit more studying.

Today we reviewed Chapter 2 of the student's Geometry textbook. We went through the homework problems he had to do and examined the concepts along the way. Despite the work being tiring and tedious at times, he persevered and finished the required work. He demonstrates a positive attitude and drive to improve his grades for a college scholarship that gives me confidence he will excel.

Today we reviewed for the student's upcoming Chapter 2 test on Monday. After doing the homework, we did the two practice tests in the textbook. He is doing well with the material, but he gets confused when determining and labeling angles, particularly those of a linear pair. However, after sufficient practice, he was able to get a hold of the concepts. After reviewing for the chapter exam, I helped him prepare for his theology verse quiz and his upcoming exam in German.

Geometry Tutoring review by Sarah in Marion County, IN
Today we specifically reviewed the core concepts surrounding slope-- the differences between positive and negative, parallel and perpendicular, and zero and undefined. I sent her some extra practice problems to solidify what we went over. I was hoping to move on to point slope and slope intercept formulas, but it seemed more important to make sure she understands these concepts before getting to harder material. We made a few basic flashcards together to get the important takeaways of today's lesson in an easy to review format. I hope next week to cover the ins and outs of slope intercept and point slope problems in preparation for her next quiz, and I hope we'll be a little more energized this time!

Geometry Tutoring review by Karen in Marion County, IN
Today we went over and SAT geometry worksheet and reviewed the use of preterit and imperfect verbs in Spanish. The student needed a bit of guidance on where to start with word problems in geometry, but she was able to work through them easily once she got the hang of them. In Spanish, she has definitely improved and knows when to use preterit and imperfect verbs. However, she does need help translating, and I will begin to work with her on expanding her vocabulary.
