Certified Tutor

I got my bachelor's degree in chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and I am currently a third-year graduate student at the University of Illinois at Chicago studying pharmaceutical sciences. Currently, you will find me inside the lab synthesizing compounds all day long. I have been a teaching assistant for general chemistry labs and for medicinal/organic chemistry classes. My favorite subject to tutor is organic chemistry classes because it scares students so much. I think the best way to teach someone a chemical mechanism is to break it down into the smallest components and share exactly what I am thinking when I work through a mechanism.
