I am a graduate of Augusta State University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. During my time in college, I tutored elementary age students at the campus Literacy Center for two years as a work study position where I conducted private and group tutoring sessions. Since graduating I worked for a private tutoring company called Empowerment tutoring where I tutored elementary age students in home for a year. I am currently an Adjunct Instructor at a Community college in Charlotte where I teach adult ESL courses, GED prep courses, Math and Reading Readiness, and Intermediate Algebra. I also teach ESL to elementary age students at a charter school in Stanley. I am an author, so ELA is my first love, however I enjoy teaching my students and watching their growth from the beginning of our sessions to the end of our sessions.
