Certified Tutor

After graduating summa cum laude from Whitman College (2019) with a double major in History and German Studies, I undertook a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English to students in Bad Homburg v.d. Hoehe. This was not my first, nor last experience as an educator. I've tutored Math, English (writing and as a foreign language), and German. I've taught as a German teacher at a private high school in Seattle, and helped to create an art history curriculum for my alma mater.
I am excited to tutor in English (I'm ESL certified as well), German, History, Art History, Study Skills, and Test Preparation. I believe that anyone is capable of learning and focus on developing a growth-mindset model for academic development. I use individualized teaching methods, as much as possible, and therefore try a variety of strategies to engage students of any age range and background. I'm especially adept at working with students with academic anxiety.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading, trivia, sewing, and listening to endless amounts of podcasts!
