I am a Banneker-Key scholar in the honors college at the University of Maryland with a major in chemistry and minors in Spanish language and culture and business analytics. I believe in the value of a well-rounded education centered on critical analysis of concepts beyond simply "answering the question." My teaching philosophy preaches explaining complex scientific and literary concepts to answer questions rather than brute memorization. One of my favorite phrases is "give a man to fish, feed him for a day. But teach a man to fish, feed him for life!"
