I am a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University where I received my Associate's degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences. From there, I attended Delgado Community College where I received another Associate's in Early Childhood Education. I worked as a paraprofessional in the Kenner/Metairie area before moving to Texas.
In Texas, I graduated from Letourneau University with a Bachelor degree Interdisciplinary Studies-TEACH program. I taught Pre-K, K, 1st, 3rd/4th inclusion, 6th-8th Content Mastery/Special Education/PACES. I also graduated from Western Governor's University with a Master of Education in Instructional Design. As part of this curriculum, I was required to write a Capstone, which is similar to a Dissertation for a Doctorate program. My topic of research and study was How the lack of effective classroom management skills are the main cause of not retaining new teachers up to five years of experience. This work is published within the school network.
A couple of years later, I graduated from the University of the Southwest with a Master of Science in Education as a School Counselor with high regard in Mental Health.
My last year in Texas, I worked as an Elementary School Counselor, where I worked with small groups of students.
The following year, I moved back to Louisiana and have worked as a middle school English, Science teacher. I was then moved to the position of an ESL Coach where I was able to work with ESL families, and teachers. In this position, I was required to prepare presentations for teachers, administration, and parents to let them know about the programs that would be used to assist these students succeed.
This past year, I moved to teaching at a brand new behavioral health hospital that opened up an adolescent wing. At this facility, I was able to work with adolescents who had little, to no academic education, and were struggling with life challenges. The curriculum was modified for each group based on need and academic level.
Lastly, my philosophy on education is that all children can learn if given the proper opportunities and resources. I am a big pursuer of knowledge, being a life long learner, and I pride myself on sharing that passion with my students, no matter where they are in their academic journey.
I look forward to assisting you on your educational journey, as well.

I am a published author, and am working on two other books at this time. One is for young adults, and the other is religious fiction. As you might guess, I love to read. I read various topics from cooking, to horror; young adult to adult romance. When I am not reading, I enjoy spending time with my family. We are huge movie buffs, and look forward to watching classics, to new, in theatre movies. We love all genres of movies, as much as I love all genres of stories.
