Certified Tutor

Always happy to help, I am a patient and dedicated tutor that wishes to help every student feel confident and ready to succeed.

Out of my undergrad, I taught at a test prep center to students of all ages, though I primarily tutored for SAT exam in order to help students feel prepared to sit for the test. We would work through practice problems and discuss strategies for how to maximize scores. A wonderful aspect to the work is helping students achieve their goals and feel empowered. My teaching style is patient, understanding, and engaging.

A strong foundation is crucial to enable an understanding of the building blocks of knowledge. If we build a durable foundation, we are able to take on new challenges. Because everyone learns differently, my goal is to explain concepts in different ways and promote a thorough understanding. Once the concept is deeply understood, the same concept can be applied to different situations.

Last, learning should also be enjoyable and a fun aspect of life that continues on past school. Whether it is reading a biography on a scientific figure or figuring out how to code in a new language, there is a great joy in learning more about the world around us. If I can help delineate a new concept in a way that inspires a student to learn more, that would be incredibly rewarding.
