I am a graduate of Marquette University, and I have been a middle school language arts teacher for eight years. I have also been a tutor over the summer, both for individual students working on various language arts skills and for adults learning English. I am passionate about teaching reading and writing because they encourage students to develop essential skills, understand the world from others' perspectives, and have a voice of their own. While I enjoy whole group teaching, I find that I especially excel at small group and individual teaching, which is why I became a part of Varsity Tutors. I am excited to get started!
