I am a 3rd year Psychobiology major at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I have previously tutored high school students in the ACT, chemistry, biology. I have also tutored elementary/middle school students in reading comprehension and math. My favorite subject to tutor is the ACT. I spent a lot of time understanding ACT study skills/strategies, and I love sharing this knowledge with students! My tutoring philosophy is to help students understand fundamental concepts by asking leading questions and approaching the problem from different angles. I also like to figure out what learning style works best for students, and aim to help them in that way. For example, if a student is a visual learner then I would draw diagrams, to explain concepts. If the student is a logical learner, then I would work through and explain practice problems.
