I am a recent graduate of Brown University. I recieved my degree in theoretical mathematics. While at Brown, I participated in the university's Outdoor Leadership and Environmental Education Program -- a group of university students who taught high school students environmental science weekly. I believe the keys to learning mathematics are, firstly, reminding yourself the material is complex and abstract so that you do not get upset at yourself for not understanding concepts immediately, and secondly, stopping once in a while to appreciate the beauty of the material you are learning. I am excited to use my experience and knowledge in the world of mathematics to share its wonders with students and to make an often difficult and frustrating subject more accessible.
