Teaching is something that I believe is unique to each student and does not follow specific rules that work for everyone. Throughout many of my experiences in academics, I have seen this first hand and have gained experience in how to work with students in the most beneficial way. Through my experience being an Adapted Art Leader for a classroom of special needs students at my High School, I have gained experience in working with a variety of students of varying abilities and levels of education. This experience ultimately taught me how to be patient and understanding of each unique student's specific needs in an academic setting. I also have experience working with 3rd and 4th grade classrooms demonstrating science labs and teaching the fundamentals of Chemistry.
I am currently a student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying Molecular and Cellular Biology. I believe that with my academic and extracurricular experiences I am well suited to not only teach higher level science courses but also a variety of other topics in other academic levels as well.
