I am a rising junior in the guaranteed acceptance medical program at the University of Pittsburgh and will be matriculating to Pitt Medical School in 2021! I'm a natural sciences major and a religious studies minor which gives me a great mix of both science and humanities classes. I went to high school at The Ellis School in Pittsburgh, PA. My academic interests vary widely but college has given me a special appreciation for general chemistry, organic chemistry, writing, philosophy, and religious studies. In high school however, my favorite subject was math. Although I am pursuing medicine as a career, I believe there is a lot of value in being a well-rounded student with skills in many different subjects. My strengths include basic math, general chemistry, organic chemistry, writing (personal essays, college apps, literature classes, etc.), and SAT/ACT preparation. Outside of school, my favorite hobby is singing: I am trained in Indian Classical Music, and I am also part of a collegiate acapella group! I love to play the piano, bake, and read. Through my prior tutoring experiences, I have learned that every student is unique and I believe that it is my responsibility to respect that and adapt my teaching methods accordingly. Given how much my friends and I have gained from both formal and informal tutoring in high school and college, I have a lot of confidence in the process and hope to make learning truly enjoyable.
