I graduated from Cornell University in 2017 with a degree in Africana Studies on the pre-med track. I have 3+ years in tutoring middle school and high school students in writing, math, and science. Since my first tutoring job tutoring my peers in high school, I've realized that I enjoy problem-solving and connecting with students. I believe each student already has the tools within them to improve upon their academic performance. My job is to assist them in understanding the factors that motivate/demotivate said improvement and actualize their full potential. As a tutor, I ground my work in grace, accountability, and a commitment to excellence. Ultimately, I recognize the doors education and tutoring can open with regards to degree advancement, and more importantly, self-actualization. This is what drives the work I do every day.
