Certified Tutor

I am a physics graduate from UT San Antonio who currently educates in the Austin area. I desire for students to understand mathematics and physics at a conceptually deep level instead of "going through the motions". I also believe in engaging the student based on their particular personal interests and learning styles as often as possible. My background in teaching includes years of tutoring and mentoring during my undergrad, along with teaching high school students through semester math courses more recently. Perhaps my favorite subject to teach is calculus-based physics, which is usually introduced to college freshmen in their STEM education. I enjoy fusing the introduction of calculus concepts (like the derivative) with physical examples from everyday life to cement the fundamentals for the student. I teach any math and/or physics class from junior high to AP level.
