Certified Tutor

I am currently a clinical psychology doctoral student at Long Island University in Brooklyn. I am also a graduate of Georgetown University (B.A. in Sociology), Fordham University (M.A. in Sociology), and The New School (M.A. in General Psychology). Promoting education is really important to me. During and after college, I spent much of my leisure time working or volunteering as a tutor with K-12 students and adults. I have tutored students in elementary math and English, and also test preparation for the SAT Verbal section. I particularly enjoy assisting students with reading, vocabulary and verbal abilities in general. As a tutor, I am very patient and always take into account my student's learning style and motivation. Outside of school, I love reading, learning languages, hiking and ice skating.
