My name is David and I am a recent graduate of Northwestern University where I received my BS in Education and Social Policy. Aside from tutoring, I also work to educate and advocate for youth in the foster care system, and I recently finished a season where I was the Director of Programming for a summer camp supporting kids with speech disorders. In my free time I enjoy playing basketball, writing, listening/telling stories, and playing board games. I enjoy seeing students suddenly "get it," particularly in the areas of math, writing, and reading (for school and/or standardized tests). I believe learning and teaching should be done in a way that makes the subject APPLICABLE to our real lives.
