Michael: Spokane County tutor
Certified Tutor
Hello! My name is Mike, and I have been teaching English as a Foreign/ Second Language for 6 years. I have created and taught curricula for writing and speaking courses, as well as teaching reading, public speaking, and grammar skills. Aside from this job, I have experience training colleagues and subordinates in numerous fields. I have a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and received my CELTA certification in March of 2018.
I am excited to tutor because, in my opinion, the students who want to learn are the best students. Language requires practice and dedication, so I hope that my enthusiasm about English can inspire others to truly enjoy learning the language. I have studied many languages in my life and use the knowledge I have gained when teaching English. I think tutoring is important because personal, one-on-one learning time is effective for reinforcing learned material as well as individually-tailored assistance with anything that may come up in class. I don't let my students feel that tutoring is meant to be a catch-up or remedial; tutored students simply have a greater desire to succeed.
I am confident that I will be an effective tutor for your English needs. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to set up your first lesson
