I graduated from the University of Oklahoma this August with a degree in Philosophy. I also have minors in Classics and English Literature, which is my favorite subject and pastime. My training in Philosophy has taught me to identify and explain central concepts of a written work, and this training helps me understanding works of literature. Reading comprehension and critical writing about literary works are my strengths, and I would love to help others develop those skills. I believe it is more important to help others develop academic tendencies for themselves than it is to pass on mere knowledge. Learning comes from within, and I hope to inspire a love of knowledge by guiding others to the joy of literature. Writing about a subject is one of the best ways to think about it, and I want to inspire students to process their thoughts on the page so that they will be encouraged by and familiar with their studies and opinions. The benefits of literary thinking are far reaching. As a tutor, I hope to be a positive influence in a variety of ways. Academic rigor and intellectual ability are essential for any student. But in addition to helping another develop scholarly habits, I hope to impart a respect for the far reaching effects of passionate learning.

When I am not studying or reading for personal enjoyment, I am often either writing or sharing rich conversation. Having specialized in philosophy of art, I have a passion for music and visual art and am enlivened by the artistic culture of Oklahoma City.
