Certified Tutor

I am a student attending the Georgia Institute of Technology pursuing a combined B.S./M.S. program in Bioinformatics and conducting research in genetic epidemiology. While my current focus is in Biology, I enjoy helping others learn how to read and write better as well. I am currently a tutor for Biology at Georgia Tech and am an editor for multiple organizations on campus. Communication skills are vital no matter what field one pursues and often makes you stand out against other students. As a result, my favorite subjects to tutor in are Biology, English, and Chemistry.

My personal goal as a tutor is to have students understand what methods of learning are most efficacious for them and how to apply that knowledge for future areas they might encounter problems with. This ensures that they are able to eventually learn material by themselves without assistance.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, hiking, and exploring Atlanta. Maintaining a balanced and active lifestyle is important to me and I encourage students to develop and maintain healthy habits over the course of my work with them.
