Greetings, my name is Chris Castillero and I have been in mathematics education for 17 years. It is my passion to help students understand math so that they feel successful. I do this though getting to know what students have to work with and moving them forward from there. I am gentle in my approach and have had 20 years of experience tutoring all types and ages of students. Math is my life and I look forward to working with students using this platform.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is to ask good questions and collaborate with students so I can help them achieve their goals. I have 20 years of experience preparing students for mathematics at all levels, and I will use that knowledge to help my student succeed.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In my first session, I get to know my student's learning habits through conversation and questioning. In order to help a student to accomplish their goals, I need to know how they learn and how to challenge them though new learning.
