Certified Tutor
I am currently working on my BS in Aerospace Engineering. I just finished school at Saint Charles Community College and will be transferring to Missouri S&T in the fall. I have been tutoring Calculus since May of 2016 at Saint Charles Community College. In the fall of 2016, I reached out to students at other colleges such as Lindenwood, UMSL, and SLU, and offered tutoring in subjects such as Algebra, Trig, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. I specialize in Calculus, but enjoy tutoring all other math subjects equally.
As for my tutoring philosophy, in my experience most students learn through repetition. In a typical tutoring session, my method is to identify what specific concepts the student is struggling with, show them how to approach those concepts correctly, and then go through problems that I can then walk them through. I'd say that method works for about 90% of students. Most of us just need a little guidance and a lot of practice.
Outside of academia, I enjoy disc golf, hockey, and video games. If I hadn't chosen an Aerospace Engineering major, I probably would have gone into Computer Science and gotten into game design as a hobby. I still might, but for the moment I'm focusing on building my career.
