Certified Tutor
About Me:
I'm a graduate of Emory University, former photographer, and an accepted medical student of Mercer University School of Medicine (Class of 2022)
I was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up through poverty to eventually find myself at one of the most prestigious universities in the country. That journey involved hard work, as well as developing a passion for educating myself and others along the way. I hope that I can generate the same passion for those I tutor as well.
I have always enjoyed helping friends and family with their work and problems. I enjoy helping others learn about different subjects and I will always try to bring enthusiasm to our sessions. My hobbies and interest include photography, technology, hiking, YouTube, and whatever else grabs my attention - Im not really picky. I have a strong background in professional tutoring, and have worked within voluntary roles, aiding those who require assistance with their studies and enabling me to work efficiently with students and pick up on the way they operate.
The Sessions:
You guide the topics that we will cover in our sessions. I'll make sure you understand the basics before we tackle the harder topics, once you have a basic understanding of a topic, the rest falls into place.
I will do my best to find out what style of learner you are so that I can tailor each tutorial to you, such as including more examples, more diagrams or by finding new ways of explaining ideas. I will not simply talk at you like teachers at your school might do. Think of me as a mentor. Dont be afraid to interact or to ask what you might think are dumb questions; and dont be afraid to be challenged either. But I understand that brains get tired too, so I wont overwhelm you with an avalanche of information all at once that doesnt work or stick.
What Next?
If you have any questions, don't hesitate, send me an email or text and we can talk about it. I look forward to meeting you and helping you learn better.

What is your teaching philosophy?
With every student that I've had, I've always explained my own thought process in solving a problem. That way, the student can see how the problem was solved, instead of just seeing the solution. That way, if he or she is ever solving a similar problem, they will know the steps to tackle it.
