What is your teaching philosophy?
What strategy works depends on what kind of learner they are. Tactile and visual learners often love foldables they can build and interact with. Audio learners often prefer stories or jokes related to the concept that they can remember. I've found that a great many teenagers are simply competitive; giving them a task to complete within a short time-limit is enough to get them excited about learning it.
