I am currently pursuing a neuroscience and undecided business major with a potential psychology minor. What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe learning takes place in an open and intriguing environment where the student develops a passion for what he or she is learning.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Learn more about the student by finding out what his or her interests are out of school. I want the student to feel comfortable talking to me, and I want to understand how the student likes to think.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Try to relate the student's learning to what the student likes to do outside of school and homework. Change the scenery and provide fun and interactive resources to use while studying.
