Alexander: Durham tutor
Certified Tutor
As a tutor, I want to get to know the needs of the students. Do they prefer to improve their accent? Are they beginning to learn a language or the subject? What are their goals for our sessions? These types of questions are important for a student and tutor in order to best achieve for both. My approach is hands on, and I always like to find different methods to learn and remember the subject. Every student's learning capability is different, therefore I do not employ any cookie cutter method. I will personalize each lesson plan based off the students strengths when it comes to learning.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Every student learns differently. It requires patience and really knowing the students before we can make lesson plans.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In a first session, I look to find what the student seeks to achieve from our lessons. I also seek to find out how they best learn materials, and develop lesson plans.
