Diana: Manhattan tutor
Certified Tutor
I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish with minors in Latin American Studies and Women's Studies. While in college, I spent my summers abroad in Guatemala studying the cultures and volunteering with NGO's. Upon graduating I joined the Peace Corps where I spent three years in Ecuador working in Agriculture and Small Business creating school programs, working with youth and women's groups. I am currently teaching Spanish of all levels to High School students in Virginia.
I have always been a passionate student of the world and I love encouraging the students that I work with to have that same passion. My experience with diversity has given me a vital asset as a tutor; the ability to be flexible and adapt to any situation. I am able to work with each student to determine their learning style and figure out what teaching method works best.
I enjoy all of the subjects that I tutor, but I am most passionate about Spanish, World History/Geography and Government.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy dance, winter guard, yoga, and farm life.
