I am a current student at Rice University studying Mathematics and Computer Science. I have lots of tutoring experience, having tutored kids at my high school and at-risk youth. I know how intimidating asking for help can be, which is why I make a point of being patient and respectful with all of my students. I think it's important for students to understand that getting tutoring can be a stress-free and beneficial decision. I have always loved math, and I am able to tutor in pre-algebra, algebra, AP Calculus AB and BC, multivariable calculus, and high school physics. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing the guitar and rock climbing.

I have an advanced degree in theoretical chemistry, and I'm currently a high school math teacher. In my graduate program, I taught small-sized undergraduate courses. I also have experience tutoring undergraduates and high school students one-on-one. After experiencing both, I believe a learning is much easier to facilitate in a one-on-one or small group setting. In this setting, I can observe how a student thinks and tailor my teaching style in a way that would most benefit the student.

I am a math tutor who is currently attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and majoring in Environmental Engineering. I have been tutoring math for over four years, both at Fenwick High School (where I attended) as a peer tutor and with Mathnasium. I teach Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calc, and Calculus 1 + 2, and I also cover all sections of the ACT. I prefer to take an involved approach to tutoring -- that is, rather than have my students sit and listen to me talk, I prefer to actively engage them with problems. I believe that the best way to learn is to do, and I love to use this philosophy in my tutoring. However, I am willing to adapt to whatever style my students prefer -- if my students learn best from lectures, then lectures will be what we do. Working with clients to discover the way they learn best is one of my favorite parts of tutoring. In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing piano, making music, and reading. I'm also a huge fan of live theater, having done it in high school, and love to go to shows downtown.

I am a current undergrad at Georgia Tech majoring in Computer Science. I've been tutoring for a few years and love working one-on-one or in small groups. I believe every person has a unique learning style, and as a tutor, I should be flexible and adaptable in the way I teach. Seeing the progress students make is rewarding, and in turn, I hope I can make learning a more positive and enjoyable experience.

Hello! I am currently studying neuroscience at Saint Louis University in Missouri. Throughout my time in high school I have tutored students of several different age groups in numerous subjects. I have helped coach high schoolers on standardized tests such as the ACT and PSAT, middle schoolers in beginner Spanish, elementary school students in basic mathematics, and many more! When it comes to ACT and PSAT, I believe in simplicity and routine. I have helped coach several students to scores in the upper 30's. I also believe education should be fun, engaging, and stimulating which makes me a great fit for younger students! In my free time I have my nose shoved in a book or food shoved in my mouth.

I am a third-year student at Bethel University, studying to receive my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education for grades 5-12. I have worked as a teacher's assistant for 5 semesters, and have been an individual tutor as well. I've always been passionate about learning and teaching, and never pass up an opportunity to help a friend out with their homework. I had the opportunity to observe a British secondary school during my study abroad term this past January, which I found to be an enjoyable and enlightening experience. I am a firm believer that education is of critical importance in both personal development and becoming an influential person in this world. In my free time, you could find me singing in Bethel's top choir, or talking with a friend over a cup of coffee.
