I just graduated from the University of Texas-Austin with a B.A. in Psychology, a Business Foundations Certificate from McCombs, and a minor in German with a GPA of 3.92! I was a straight A student in high school as well, and took all advanced and AP classes. When I was at one of my high schools in Louisiana, the classes were all done online. I managed to finish all of the requirements for high school when I was only 14! Unfortunately, many of my classmates struggled without the presence of a teacher, and I began tutoring them. I tutored students from many different backgrounds in all subjects of high school for over 6 months, and greatly enjoyed it and would like to tutor again.Now, having just graduated with my undergraduate degree, I am looking to begin tutoring as a true mentor, and not as a classmate. I have always excelled in and enjoyed the classroom setting. I work hard at making Math easier for students to understand, and realize that helping students make sense of the logic is imperative to success. I use a variety of methods while tutoring, including the use of manipulatives and dialogue to help students gain concrete understanding of topics. While not in school, I enjoy singing and playing my piano and guitar, as well as the occasional round of golf. I am also a volleyball official and can be found many weekends at the local courts (both indoor and outdoor) honing my craft.

Shortly thereafter I began to work towards my PhD in the field of experimental neuroscience research. My strongest subjects include statistics, math, and the sciences. My favorite subject to tutor would have to be statistics, mostly because I have taken so many classes in this subject that it is like second nature at this point. Outside of my education, I am an avid golfer. As a scratch handicap, I went to college on scholarship to play for a Division I NCAA team.
