Tutoring review by Phil in Midtown, TN
Good session with the student. We did a review of circle-related topics for his exam this week. He did well with calculations and remembering many of the rules/theorems, and for those that he did not, I suggested those things be written on his formula card. He did show good intuition, etc., and I encouraged him to try to not second-guess his gut feel. His intuition is mostly good. We also discussed ways to sanity check solutions by seeing if the numbers line up with reality and the diagrams we draw, etc. Good work. Review another day or two and do well.

Tutoring review by Ammar in Midtown, TN
The students needed help with their last assignment leading up to final exam. We reviewed different number base systems and arithmetic operations; addition, multiplication, subtraction, and division in bases other than 10. The students are very happy with their understanding and are very confident in their understanding of the material as explained to them. We plan to continue practicing more with extra material next week leading up to the final examination.

Tutoring review by Violet in Midtown, TN
In this session, we went through a previous year's state assessment exam. We covered binomial expansion in standard form and in probability questions. We also went over graphing questions, both drawing graphs and analyzing graphs. In the hour and a half, we were able to go over the short answer questions and almost every multiple choice. The student seems more confident each session, and we are on the right track for getting her ready before her test.

Tutoring review by Inderpreet in Midtown, TN
We continued with fractions and divisions, and the student is progressing very well with division and fractions. She is facing a slight hiccup as she solves division problems with much larger dividends. Therefore, I gave her a lot of practice division problems and will continue to reinforce her understanding of long division. Nonetheless, she is growing to like long division more than she did before which is definitely a plus. Other obstacles she faces, I will address as they come, and will follow the math book for 4th grade to further her knowledge.

We continued working on the student's college application and essays. I am hoping we can finally complete his applications this coming week. He is doing well, but he will have to work really hard this upcoming week to complete all the applications that he needs to complete.
