Take a break from your studies and spend some time relaxing in Grass Lake. The town has a number of great activities that are fun, educational, and relaxing. For a day of hiking, visit the Waterloo Pinckney Hiking Trail. The trail spans 36 miles across the Waterloo State Recreation Area. With multiple outlets, you can get on and off the trails without having to completely turn around. A variety of activities can be enjoyed on the trail, including horseback riding, running, and camping. The dense forest that covers large portions of the trail also makes it a great place for birding and wildflower cataloging. During the winter, the trail is used for snowshoeing. While the trail is too long to travel in one day, you can camp along it and have a multi-day excursion.

Another great place to visit is the Coe House Museum. The home's original owner operated the town's hardware store in the 1870s. The Tuscan Vernacular home has been refurnished to mimic the home in the Victorian Era, when it was originally in use. Visitors can wander through the home and get a glimpse of what life was like back when the home was first constructed.

Tutoring review by Manwinder in Grass Lake, MI
We reviewed for his test on logarithmic functions, properties, inverses, etc. The review was four pages long so he wanted to go over a couple of problems from each section and was going to complete the rest on his own. I offered to go over any problems he had via email/text as well. He understood the material fairly well, but I did go over a basic review of fractions when needed. I wished him the best of luck for his test and we will be meeting on Wednesday if needed.

The student likes to work at a fast pace when reviewing for tests. We went over area and volume, and covered all the examples the teacher had given the students to review.

I went over basic integration with the student, working on problems in preparation for her test Thursday. We went over basic integration, initial value problems, and u-substitution. She has a very good understanding of these problems and I expect her to do well on her test.

Tutoring review by Blake in Grass Lake, MI
The student and I covered reading comprehension questions and two grouping analytical reasoning questions. She did a fine job with the reading comprehension, but struggled a bit with the esoteric and jargon-filled topics that the LSAT uses for its reading passages. We worked on breaking down the passages so that she looks for the conclusion, evidence, and structure of the passages and focuses less on the content, which is not necessary for answering the questions. Her attitude was fantastic as always, even with the difficult passages. I left her with a detailed syllabus for practice in between tutoring sessions. Next week, she will start working on taking timed practice LSAT tests.

We went over graphing, domain, range, simplifying expressions, word problems, and equations. The student had some difficulty writing equations from word problems so will do more practice next week. She has improved with multiplying, dividing, subtracting and adding negative numbers. The student had a positive attitude toward the material being reviewed.
