About Me

As a tutor, I am thoroughly invested in my students' success. I believe that education has the power to change someone's life, and the greatest honor is sharing this experience with a student. I graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Dance. I received a superscore of 36 on the ACT. I am familiar with the ins and outs of this exam, and love working with students to help them succeed. In addition, I have taught dance for the past six years. I have worked with students of all ages between the grades of preschool and senior year in high school. My experience as a dance educator has taught me how to motivate students, and empower them to be confident in themselves. I have high standards for myself, and thus I have high standards for my students. I facilitate this by getting to know each student their capabilities, and who they are as humans. I can then see each student's potential, and push them to reach this. In this way, my pedagogy is motivated by the humanist educational approach and theoretical framework. I aim to cultivate an equitable experience by guiding each student to do their personal best, rather than expecting every student to perform the same. My goal is for my students to take lessons with them that they can apply to the rest of their lives, not just within academia. I invite you to book a tutoring lesson with me!
