About Me

My professional background combines over two decades of clinical veterinary experience with a strong commitment to education and mentorship. I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician with extensive experience in both large and small animal medicine and hold a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Regent University. I also bring more than seven years of experience teaching and tutoring students at the middle school, high school, and postsecondary levels, along with multiple industry-recognized certifications across the veterinary profession pathway. I specialize in Veterinary Science and VTNE preparation; currently teaching high school Veterinary Science courses where students earn industry-recognized Veterinary Assistant certifications and additional stackable credentials. Having personally taken and passed the VTNE on my first attempt, I understand firsthand how overwhelming and high-pressure the exam can feel. I remember the nerves, the long study hours, and the uncertainty. I work intentionally to help students manage test anxiety, build confidence, and trust the knowledge they have worked so hard to gain. My approach emphasizes clarity, encouragement, and realistic strategies so students feel prepared, not just academically, but mentally, on exam day. As an instructor, I emphasize clear explanations, individualized support, and practical application of concepts. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing in confidence. My goal is to help students not only master the material, but also believe in their ability to succeed. I am deeply passionate about mentoring future animal health professionals and helping students connect science and medicine to meaningful career pathways. I believe every student is capable of success with the right support, and I am honored to help guide them through this important step in their veterinary journey.
