As a graduate of American University and Marymount University, I acquired language skills (I am proficient in Spanish) and pedagogical knowledge. While working in public schools in Washington, DC and Yonkers, New York, I implemented best practices and strategies to support students learning English and academic subjects. I also worked virtually with adult learners in Tunisia. Some were teachers-in-training and others were business students. I used various online tools to make the lessons engaging and impactful. I believe that education can change people's lives! I look forward to tutoring students who are learning English and academic subjects simultaneously.
