As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's in English and an English-Education Certificate from Concordia University-Ann Arbor, I have over 10 years of classroom experience specializing in Creative Writing, Elementary and Middle School English, and Essay Editing. While my degrees are in ELA, I have taught everything from fourth grade Math to Middle School Science and Social Studies. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive learning environment that recognizes each student's unique learning style. I believe in engaging students through multi-sensory approaches, as demonstrated in my successful cross-curricular unit on fantasy world building, where students explored geography, art, and writing collaboratively. I am dedicated to helping every child succeed academically, and I am excited to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to tutoring, ensuring that each session is tailored to meet individual needs.
