About Me

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile! I'm a Georgetown University graduate with a degree in finance, and I've spent over 25 years in commercial banking applying mathematical concepts to real-world financial decision-making. My tutoring journey began over 15 years ago when I started teaching my own son math in middle school. I guided him through algebra, geometry, and advanced topics all the way through his SAT preparation. He went on to score well, earn admission to Georgetown University, and graduated just a couple of years ago. That experience showed me how much I enjoy teaching, and it was incredibly rewarding to see his confidence grow and his skills develop year after year. It also sparked my passion for helping other students build strong foundations in math and achieve their own academic goals. Since then, I've combined my professional experience in finance and banking with my love of teaching to help students succeed in subjects ranging from Algebra I and II to Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and SAT Math. My approach is structured but supportive: I start with a quick assessment, identify areas for growth, and then break complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I use official SAT practice materials, error logs, and targeted strategies to improve both accuracy and timing. Whether a student is aiming to strengthen fundamentals or reach a top percentile score, my goal is to build both skills and confidence so they can perform at their very best.
