I hold a Bachelor's in Management Information Systems, and my graduate-level work has focused on arts education, cultural storytelling, and communication. My favorite subjects to tutor are writing and literature, because I love helping students become more expressive, critical thinkers who can analyze and articulate complex ideas. Outside of academia, I am a spoken word poet, jazz musician, and educator who values cultural connection and lifelong learning. When I’m not tutoring, you’ll usually find me playing jazz on my saxophone, writing poetry, or performing at spoken word open mics. I’m passionate about storytelling—through music, words, and shared experiences—and that love shows up in how I connect with students. I enjoy exploring different cultures, spending time outdoors, and finding creative ways to make learning feel alive and meaningful. Whether I’m jamming with other musicians, reading something that sparks my imagination, or speaking truth on stage, I’m always looking for new inspiration to bring into my teaching.
