Holding a Master's degree as a Reading Specialist from Olivet Nazarene University, I have over 2 years of tutoring experience and more than 10 years of classroom teaching, primarily focused on middle school English and high school language arts. I am passionate about teaching English grammar, creative writing, and reading comprehension, and I thrive on transforming reluctant readers into enthusiastic learners. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy journaling, which deepens my appreciation for writing and fuels my desire to inspire my students to express themselves through words.

My name is Meagan Kathleen but I go by “Kate”. I love to get up at 5am and go for a run outside. I do not like to run indoors. I love nature. I love hiking and going for long 5 mile walks and swimming. I love planting a garden and watching my garden grow. I love to meditate each morning before I start my day. I also journal each morning right after I meditate. I write down all that I am grateful for and it keeps me focused and in the right mindset to achieve all that I need to achieve that day. I end my night talking with my children. I have four of them all at very different stages in life, so each conversation is unique and beautiful. I love and adore my children. I let them know it daily through constant hugs and praise.
