Hello! My name is Mutaz Sarhan. I am a PHD student at USC studying Biomedical Science. I hold a BS in neuroscience and a Masters in Public Health. For younger students in elementary and middle school, I focus on creating fun, interactive lessons that build strong foundations in basic math, life science, and physical science. Whether it's mastering multiplication tables, understanding the scientific method, or exploring earth science concepts, I use real-world examples and hands-on activities to make learning exciting. With high school students, I specialize in breaking down complex topics in algebra, geometry, biology, and chemistry into manageable steps. I help students not only complete their homework but truly grasp the underlying principleswhether it's balancing chemical equations, solving quadratic formulas, or understanding cellular biology. My approach combines clear explanations with plenty of practice opportunities to ensure mastery. For college students, I offer support in introductory and advanced courses, including statistics, calculus, anatomy, and neuroscience. Having conducted extensive research in these areas myself, I can provide unique insights that go beyond textbook explanations. I'm particularly skilled at helping students analyze data, interpret results, and develop strong study strategies for STEM courses. When I'm not teaching or doing research, I enjoy diving into the exciting worlds of DC and Marvel comics—with Spider-Man and Batman topping my list of favorite heroes. Beyond comic books, I love spending time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes and exploring nature through hiking. At home, I'm kept entertained by my clever cat Oliver, whose mischievous antics constantly prove he's far too intelligent for his own good!
