About Me

My name is Bitanya Dawit, and I'm a sophomore at SMU studying Finance and Statistics with a minor in Public Policy. Math has always been a passion of mine. I competed in math competitions throughout high school and enjoy helping students build confidence and a strong foundation in the subject. I tutor elementary through 8th-grade math and aim to make each session clear, supportive, and engaging. I am also a professional violinist and bring patience, focus, and creativity to my teaching. I am exploring future careers in accounting or law, and love that tutoring allows me to grow as a communicator while sharing something I truly enjoy.
