- I have always enjoyed teaching in one form or another.
- Tutoring allows me to build relationships with my students, which in turn makes it easier to communicate with them.
About Me
I like being able to pass on my knowledge to students who can use it to further their goals, whether they be college, the workforce, or something else. It also helps me understand what they are trying to accomplish when they seek out tutoring. I attended the University of Alabama where I earned a BS in secondary mathematics education in 2010, after which I attended the University of Montevallo and earned my MEd in secondary mathematics education with a concentration in literacy in 2012. I then taught in public schools for 4 years before switching to private tutoring, and I truly enjoy what I do. I tutor a variety of math topics, English, writing, and standardized test prep, particularly the ACT and SAT. I love math because it's all puzzles that are interconnected. I also really enjoy helping students with their test prep because they are in the process of moving on to the next stage of their lives, and I'm very privileged to help them reach their goals in getting there. Any student can overcome their academic challenges. Their chances of doing so increase greatly when we work together!
Hobbies & Interests
I love solving number and word puzzles, building LEGO sets, and reading. I'm also very into music, having been a musician in the past. I love classical music and original instrumental compositions.
