I tutor because I find it immensely rewarding to play a role in turning a person's frustration in a topic into a success story. I, myself, have needed tutoring in topics throughout my education and I feel that helping others come to understand the subjects in which I am well-versed is paying a form of good will forward. I have a M.Ed in Education from the University of Oregon and over a decade of hands-on teaching experience in classroom settings.

In my non-teaching time, I practice yoga, hike, read obsessively, knit, play both board games and tabletop games, and generally attempt to reign in the chaos that is life with two elementary-aged children.
