My name is Kayla Hawn, and I am passionate about empowering students to excel in mathematics. With a Master's degree in Education from the University of South Carolina and over two years of tutoring experience, I specialize in Algebra and Applied Mathematics, teaching grades 6 through 12. My teaching philosophy centers around the belief that every student can succeed in math with the right support and practice. I employ engaging methodologies, such as manipulatives and interactive tools like Desmos, to make abstract concepts tangible. My experience as a middle and high school teacher, combined with my role in coaching math teams, has equipped me to connect with students effectively and foster a love for learning. I am dedicated to creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to explore and master mathematical concepts.
